Community Sponsors Needed for Club Adopt-a-Club Family Holiday Program

Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County is seeking donors and supporters to help make the holidays bright for Club families in need. Spread joy through the gift of giving this holiday season by helping to make the holidays bright for Club families in need. These acts of kindness are especially meaningful for Club families in light of the financial impacts many are facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Every fall, Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County connects community sponsors to Club families through our holiday Adopt-a-Club Family Program. The Adopt-a-Club Family efforts reaches an average of 50 families and nearly 200 individual family members annually.

Supporters and volunteers are needed and can include individuals, agencies, or work and friend groups who come together to help. After being matched, sponsors shop using family wish lists or can donate funds for Club staff to help with shopping. Club staff then deliver gifts to families. Necessities such as winter apparel, cleaning supplies, face masks, household items including toiletries, and grocery store gift certificates are among the most commonly requested items.
